Danielle Wood speaks at the Bloomberg New Economy Gateway Latin America — MIT Media Lab

Danielle Wood will participate in the Bloomberg New Economy Gateway Latin America conference in Panama City in May 2022. She will speak during the plenary session on “Latin America’s Biodiversity Protection”.

Bloomberg New Economy Gateway will delve into key regional issues related to trade, finance, health, cities and climate, shining the spotlight on leaders tasked with reviving their countries’ fortunes amid a pandemic constantly evolving. As the 2022 general elections approach in Brazil and Colombia and the global geopolitical landscape is rapidly changing in the wake of Covid-19, the program will merge analysis of regional milestones with international perspectives from developed and emerging economies, while taking stock America’s place in the world.

The editorial program will focus on the economic future of Latin America as the region rebuilds after the devastation of Covid. Besides, Bloomberg New Economy Gateway Latin America will examine the potential repercussions of the war in Ukraine on developing countries which now face new threats of food shortages, rising energy prices and disrupted supply chains.

Global and Latin American leaders from the private and public sectors, from developed and emerging economies, will come together to discuss and act on these and other critical issues across Bloomberg New Economy’s five editorial pillars – trade, finance, health, cities and climate change. This is the first-ever Bloomberg New Economy event held outside of Asia, expanding on the flagship New Economy Forum, which held its fourth edition in Singapore in November 2021.
